Description
Dragon's Breath is a terrifying new weapon introduced to the Shinkami Civil War. Made from the oil that secretes from the body of the Ikuchi sea serpent, Dragon's Breath is a flammable liquid that can be pumped, launched in jars or poured directly off ships and then ignited to create an incredibly high temperature and water resistant flame. This weapon is primarily used for anti-ship purposes, pumped out and ignited as it splatters onto enemy hulls and sails. However, it has been utilized in ground combat, both pumped and thrown into crowds of soldiers. While it is more effective against wooden ships, it works well as a terror weapon as well as decimating farms and villages. The gathering of the Ikuchi oil is rather easy as the serpent is so massive, it is easy to track and secretes lots of oil. While the various factions could gather it themselves, it was far simpler to pay independent ship captains to do it for them. These captains in turn make a healthy profit selling to anyone who offers money, but the task is incredibly dangerous as Ikuchi while not malevolent, is large enough to capsize ships with ease.
